Acquisition expands concrete accessories division offering
ST. LOUIS — September 1, 2021 — Afinitas, the leading global infrastructure equipment and services company, announced today that it has acquired Caswick Limited, a leading manufacturer of access and sealing products for the precast concrete, drainage and utilities industries. The acquisition opens growth opportunities for Afinitas’ CAM Products Concrete Accessories division by expanding its product portfolio into new areas.
Caswick’s established reputation for producing and distributing high quality manhole steps and ladders as well as sealant strips, elastomeric seals and other accessories complements the wide selection of metal and plastic reinforcement spacers and stirrups offered by the Afinitas CAM Products brands.
“Caswick strengthens our ability to provide customers with the right products for their needs,” said Brad Schmidgall, Afinitas CEO. “They share our mindset that product knowledge and service to customers is key. We believe the innovation and quality they bring in access and sealing products, when combined with our trusted Hawkeye, CAM and Spillman reinforcement accessories will be a valuable resource for our customers.”
Caswick is headquartered in North Lincolnshire, England. The company was founded and led by Chris Cawte, Gillian Cawte and Paul Davies, who will continue with the team.
“We believe Afinitas provides many resources and similar core values that will serve our company and our employees well for years to come. We look forward to positioning ourselves with this global industry leader and expanding our business as part of the Afinitas family,” said Chris Cawte, CEO of Caswick.
The acquisition is in line with Afinitas’ strategy to build the premier platform of concrete technologies and provide a differentiated level of product expertise to precast concrete producers. While Afinitas will continue to focus on providing equipment and automation solutions, an area where it is the global leader, and on its custom-engineered forming systems, the addition of Caswick will enable Afinitas to offer a more complete set of concrete accessories to customers around the globe.
